Checking allotment with Metrc...
Registered Mississippi medical cannabis patients may purchase up to 24 MMECU in any rolling 30-day period. That is roughly 84 grams of flower, or 24,000 mg of THC, or any mix of the two.
MMECU stands for Mississippi Medical Equivalency Cannabis Unit — the single measure the state uses so that flower, edibles, vapes and concentrates can all be counted against one allotment.
1 MMECU = 3.5 g of flower = 1,000 mg of THC.
| Product type | How it counts |
|---|---|
| Flower and pre-rolls | Grams ÷ 3.5 — a flat rate that ignores THC% |
| Concentrates, vapes and infused flower | Grams × THC% ÷ 100 |
| Edibles, tinctures, capsules, topicals and beverages | Total mg THC ÷ 1,000 |
Mississippi caps plain flower at 30% THC. Above that it is classified as infused, which moves it off the flat rate and onto potency. The result is a cliff: 3.5 g at 30.0% counts as 1.00 MMECU, while the same 3.5 g at 30.1% counts as 1.05 MMECU.
These figures reflect the Mississippi Medical Cannabis Act as All Love applies it at the register. The Mississippi State Department of Health is the authority on your allotment — if a figure here does not match your record, contact MSDH or call us on (601) 315-8794.
